NTFS is definitly the filesystem you want though.

EricB meant "filesize", not partition size. The filesize is limited to 4GB on FAT32. The partition can be up to 8TeraByte theoretically. ALso, FAT32 uses 28bit cluster adressing, the other 4bits are reserved.
 
Ahh, guess I just got confused.

And for the more secure, what they mean is that it has MORE security options, but that still doesn't fix how badly secured windows is.

(NTFS security options such as ownership (similar to linux) and permissions (again similar).
