ok what is better in the long term? a radeon x800 xt platinum edition or 2 geforce 6800 ultras linked together? money is no problem.

You could wait a while until the romoured ATI linking system comes out and have 2xX800XT Platinums.

ATI's SLI solution is only a rumor now and will only likely be released in the middle of this year sometime or even later so donÂ’t bother waiting for it to come out.

As for with one will last you longer I have to say the 2 x 6800 Ultras in SLI.

Although you cant get them yet in any stores in PCI-E versions i suggest you get the 6800GT's instead if you want it straight away it will be the exact same thing as the ultras.

Also make sure your mobo support SLI.

As I said rumoured.

Not face but i think it came from either the register or somewhere else like that. ATI have said nothing, though apparentely you don't need to contect the cards directly.

Why not look on a suppliers website?

We can't help you with suppliers unless you tell us where your from.

There where rumor that ATI where going to do SLI through a Driver and werenÂ’t going to use the SLI Bridge connector thing to do SLI.
But all it remains is still a rumor.
