i have a hp a230n with two drives c and d. d is the restore drive. i DONT have a CD for windows xp, its built in. i have done many destructive restore (which cleans the hard drive back to new, like you just bought it from the store). and after a few times of doing this (i can be anal ) its since then missing a couple of mscandui dll's. i was trying to find a way to either download them back on the restore drive or rewrite a fresh copy of windows xp on it. I cant seem to "get into" the restore drive (for obvisious reasons) or i would loose my operating system and no more computer . did that make anymore sense.
