External HD Probelm

Recently, i bought an Western Digital Ext HD 160GB from bestbuy. However I cant see it in "My Computer" while it's connected and detected. Anyone know how to fix that I'll appreciate that. THANKS ! ! !

Is the disk partitioned and formated ?

Ok I think you have to do that...

In the start menu execute %SystemRoot%\system32\compmgmt.msc /s and you have a manager for your hdd I think it would work...

so should i type this---->"%SystemRoot%\system32\compmgmt.msc /s" in "RUN"???

an easier way to do that is right click my computer and click managa

Or just put the disc in that came with the HD.
