How do I know if I have AGP or PCI? and is PCI different from PCI-E? Which is best?

I know that my modem, ethernet card, etc. are plugged into PCI slots and my GeForce4 Ti 4600 is plugged into a different-sized port. That must be an AGP slot?

AGP = Advanced Graphics Port, its the old standard for graphics cards

PCI-E= PCI Express which is newer faster one (go for this assuming your motherboard supports it)

PCI = I can't remember what it stands for but don't use it for your graphics card.

AGP slots are generally brown. If it is significantly smaller, its probably a PCI-E slot. Just go to Yahoo! or Google's image search, and look for both of them. I am sure you'll get TONS of hits.

Whoooops, I was dling quite a bit of things, the internet was lagging slightly, and clicked Submit twice... Sorry :D!

AGP=brown
