Not Counting the warranty (although it is important) which CPU is better?
They're exactly the same mate. :p

If you want to hold off just a bit longer, I do believe Asus have an incredible new motherboard coming out shortly, and rumours have been flying everywhere that an FX-57 will be appearing soon, which will be an AMAZING proccesor no doubt.

hey id wait a year or 2 if your gonna spend that much money because dual cores are coming out :)
still thats a sick machine
you can build 3 of my machines and still have 900 bucks left over and everyone thinks mine is sick
3500
6800gt
1 gig of corsair xms ram
msi nforce 3 ultra mobo

There is also a ton of stuff that I didn't add to my sig because it would be like a page long that adds more, little, things onto the rig...

An idea: Should I get a 3500+, or 3800+ if I was to buy now, and then buy a Dual Core Toledo CPU when it hits the market?

I really like the 3500+, it's a great proccesor, especially for the price right now. Should be able to get some nice Overclocking from it, and it should suit you just fine until dual cores become an option.
