alls u do is raise the speed of the parts to make them go faster, but if u do it to hight ur parts are in danger of gettin fried to thats y people pay lots of money to get water coolin and good case with many fans (not just for looks) so they can OC there pc more and more

overclocking makes games run betyter unless the system becomes unstable, or generates little faults in the graphics when you overclock too much

the graphics can become better if you are able to get higher settings in the game

how will the company know that you overclocked?Warranty?

some can run duagnostics tests that re-generate your last used settings before you fried the product (if it indeed fried.) Most claim to do this, but in reality, they just have a guy in the back who smells the parts and sees if they smell like a burnt marshmellow lol.

I've RMA'd/returned fried RAM b4, no questions asked, and i go a brand new kit back. Stores are usually the picky ones, online they should return it no questions asked if its still within the #-day return policy. Manufacturer sites will usually ask you for a description of your problem and why you are returning it, they will review it within 24-hours usually and authenticate it if they think it's worthy of a return.
