it could be the hdd itself but also try to defragment your hdd

what is your OS?
if it's Windows 2000 or XP, try doing a repair-install

if that doesn't work or you haven't got 2000 or XP, I would format (full, not quick) and reinstall Windows and everytihing

clicking HD means its dying. You cannot fix it.

i did format mah primay drive and reinstalled WINDOWS ME! and which even gave me too much of problem in installing.. oh themajor dont say this GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
