Hey,
I recently bought a Mitsubishi Diamond Digital DVD-ROM Drive within Australia (where i live). The drive came with a 2 year warranty direct from Mitsubishi. I installed it ok, The drive bay was the right size, the power and IDE cables were working and the drive sat correctly in the case. But, when I re-screwed the case together, one side of the face plate came off. Not wanting to risk damaging the drive, I immediately removed it from the case. However, I had to remove the faulty faceplate. Now to my question: Is the replacement of a face plate normally covered under a warranty?
