Cd ROm problem

I just played a game and went to do som stuff (left the cd in the cd rom) i come back 5 min later and run the game i get a error saying the cd is not in the drive well i take it out and put it back in same thing i try to run it nothin restart nothin i see that when i open the cd drive the cd is in the same place meaning that it didn even spin what can be the problem?

Check all the connections, try pulling them out and reconnecting them again.

I'm just looking at the specs in your signature, and that computer is really dated, and some of the parts, namely the CD drive, may be on their last leg.

I wouldn't be too concerned, Cd drives cost like 10 bucks tops, so replacing it shouldn't be a problem.
