Greetings:
Computer running Windows XP (home edition).
We have a folder sitting in the Norton protected recycle bin (turned off Norton protection) that will not delete. This file came from the Temporary Internet Files folder and was moved there by Trend Micro Housecall as it was thought to contain a virus. (Norton had previously identified 235003.exe as being present but could not delete).
When trying to delete this folder (which contains three files) we get the error message "Cannot delete search[1]: cannot find specified file".
Have tried to delete in safe mode but get same error message.
Having searched for solutions have also tried to delete the entire Recycle Bin (assuming it would automatically be recreated on startup) using DOS commands (found on other helpsite):
cd\
attrib -s -h recycler
del recycler
but these have had no effect.
Any help (from a rather computer illiterate!) much appreciated.
Thanks.
