Both, and its FX-55.

I think the Sledgehammer has dual hypertransport capabilities and dual built in memory controllers, so I'd go with the Sledgehammer. Not sure of this though.

Not to mention the OEM is more expensive for some reason...

Well zipzoomfly shows them both as SledgeHammers but one thing I donÂ’t get in the charts the major showed is the FX55 processors are Clawhammers.

So which one is it.

Also why is the OEM more then the one with the retail box.

Sledgehammer is the Opteron and FX core. The reason the FX is called the FX is because it is nearly the same as the Athlon 64 cores, but it allows for three parallel HyperTransport links simultaneously.

I would like to learn everything I can about cores, mobo's everything possible, if someone could get with me? I have teamspeak or Vent and a mic, I have tons of ton, and nothing to do but masters computers, how they work etc if someone is willing to help me. Thanks
