XP question...about my cd burner...

Just made the jump and for the most part everything has been on exceot for a couple snags. However this is a big'un.. I have a Phillips IDE CD burner...It worked like a champ for a few days..It even let me burn a new cd to reprogram my DVD player.. Now when I click on the icon a error message pops up and it thinks it's a scsi drive...

Now this is where it gets intresting..The Phillips software won't wotk but the built in XP software will work.. I had much rather have the Phillips software running..

Suggestions??

Thats what I was thinking...but it worked at 1sy...Thats what confused me..Not to mention I can't find new drivers. Even Phillips doesn't know...

I don't think Philips would be too good for making CD burning software, i use either Nero (version 6) or CloneCD
