X800 pro to XT / 6800 GT to Ultra

How do I tell if my X800 Pro is VIVO? I would LOVE to be able to safely unlock those extra pipes. I think that would end my Doom 3 lag problem.

VIVO means video in and video out. If you card has video in and video out connector at the back it should be a vivo card or just check your box to see if your card support vivo functions if you dont know what the video connectors look like.
