Small New Windows

Windows XP SP1 is running perfectly on my PC, except for one annoying aspect which I cannot as yet solve.
In Internet Explorer, or even Word, Excel etc, when I open a new window it almost always opens very, very small, and usuall in the top right-hand corner for some reason.
In Internet Explorer, this continues for perhaps 20 or so new windows, even if I make them full-screen before clicking for a new one, and then suddenly they all start opening in full-screen.
I know it sounds a bit weird, and I hope I have explained it properly. It's really driving me bonkers!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm..supposedly, IE saves the size of the window from last time it opened or used. If this is true, all you should need to do is resize one and then close it and it will save your settings. If this fails, right click your IE shortcut and click on properties, select "shortcut tab", on "Run" a drop down menu containing 3 options Normal window, Minimised,Maximised. Select maximised and OK.

check out the link, it might help.

Thanks devlish96. That worked a treat. The only problem now is that IE6 no longer opens in a New Window. Is there a way to make it do this as well?
