please help me select the right hardware

hi m8s,

please post a list of hardware that i should buy for an ATHLON PROCESSOR , CELERON , and another for PENTIUM 4....
I will assemble my computer but i don't know which type of hardware is compatible with another...

look for boards with same socket # or letter as ur processors, and that they are the right board for ur the mhz or ghz of ur processors at places like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com

wat is the computer going 2 be used for? game's? internet email? music?

actually the computer that we will be assebling will be used for all of those three, which are GAMES , MUSIC , and INTERNET , but most pf the time we will use it for internet and gaming purposes.

what do u suggest for me to buy?

personaly i would go with an AMD Cpu (this is very debatable). but they are definatly most bang for buck.

AMD 64
Graphics card a 6600gt
1gb RAM corsair

as for the other hardware i am not sure others will reply
