I would assume the asus sli board running two 6800 ultra cards with athlon 64 4000, 2 gig of corsair xms series memory 3200, western digital raptor 74g. This would be nasty with an antec 550 true power supply and some case.

Go for an Athlon 64 FX-55 or a 4000+, any motherboard with 1000Mhz FSB, PCI Express and Dual Channel Memory, two 512MB sticks, two WD 36GB Raptop Drives, an 6800 ultra video card, an audigy 2 ZS sound card, and whatever optical drives, cooling, and whatever else you want to rig it up with.

Yes, I'd say PCI Express is better than AGP, all the newer and more powerful graphics cards now work with PCI Express as opposed to AGP.

I think that the 6800ultra is still superior to that card, although both are incredible cards.

The FX-55 is a really good proccesor, but I'd still say the 4000+ would outperform it.

Why would you say this? I'm going to buy the 4000+, but im interested to here your reasoning on this matter, considering the 55 has a higher clock speed and everything else is the same.
