FSB:
Front Side Bus is the data channel connecting the processor, chipset, DRAM, and AGP socket. FSB is described in terms of its width in bits and it's speed in MHz.

CPU External Frequency is the multiplier.

Roughly the relationship between the two can be compared to a metal pipe. the radius of the pipe is the FSB and the amount of pressure behind it is the multiplier. a fatter pipe with a small amount of water pressure could put out as much as a slimmer pipe with a lot of pressure behind it. this is my viewpoint only, some people would not agree that this is an accurate analogy.
