Hard Drive Question !

I have a blank hard drive and a hard drive with the Windows XP OS.

If I copy the root directory from the h/d with XP on it to the blank h/d, will the blank h/d then have the XP OS on it too?

no, you have to install the OS via the WinXP CD for it to work

Or copy the partition.
Or make in image and restore it to the new drive.

Also, if you want to make an image and restore it to the new drive, you need a third partition on one of your drives, or you need a third drive, or write the image to CD-ROM(s)
