A cmos battery can stop you from your computer from working??????? I had one die and I never replaced it for 2 years on my old shitty Compaq Presario it would just bug the shit out of me every time it wanted to know the date/time

on my computer(s) when the cmos batt dies, it just says something like, battery low, press F1 to load bios defults
