Just a minor upgrade really. I'm not looking to go all-out on this, but I do need a little advice. I've got a Dell Dimension 8200, with Pentium 4 at 1.7Ghz, etc.

I'm only upgrading my RAM and vidcard:

256mb PC800 RDRAM
64mb nVidia GeForce2 MX

What I need to know is:

Does it matter if I mix ECC with non-ECC?
I'm upgrading to 512mb RAM, so do I buy one RDRAM at 256mb or two at 128mb each?
Is the ATI Radeon 9600 the best to get for my money?

And I most definitely will have more questions as they come up ...

I'm just upgrading from 256mb to 512mb, Gecko, no more. As for the vidcard .... should I cheap out and get the nVidia GeForce4 MX 440? I'm not particularly planning on buying many high-performance-necessary games like D3 and HL2 ....
