Help with webcams please?

Hi,

I have a logitech quickcam messenger - i can send images okay but when i try to receive all i ever get is a black screen.

I am using my logitech quickcam through msn messenger 6.2. OS is XP

Anyone able to point me in the right direction i dont even know what the problem could be.

It could be my hardware ? software? I dont know.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but like i say I am pretty new to all this and i dont even know where the problem is.

Does this happen with all the clients that you communciate with? Or its more likely that the other party has some problem in sending webcam images. Its not a hardware problem. A little peek at the configuration of MSN messenger can help you. Also try using someother messengers like yahoo to check send/receive webcam images.

is the cover off the lens?... nah im just mesisn well yeah msn isnt good for image send/recieve, yahoo works better but msn can do it so just take a quick look into the config of it, it sounds like a image reisze problem when u send the image it is already made to be the right size so it doesnt know what to do, i had a similar problem
