ati radeon 9800pro

Will this graphics card fulfill my gaming requirements.

saphire ati radeon 9800 pro 128, for playing games such as:

medal of honour pacific assault, Halflife 2, Pro Evo Soccer, starwars battlefront.

AMD athlon xp 2400+
512MB RAM
80GB hard drive
Asus A7V8X-X motherboard
Current graphics ATI 7000 series 64MB (is this worth upgrading to the 9800pro or will it make no difference?)

Sorry if these are obvious questions but dont wanna spend money i dont have to!

It will run most of those games on max settings at good framerates. If your use to crap now, believe me you will be impressed.

Yep, I've got that card running HL2 at the moment and she works like a gem, you need not be concerned.

That card does do the job for sure, I know a few people who use it and they have no complaints mostly.

Your only true concern would be HL2, which in reality is NO concern with the 9800 Pro.

Maximum settings at 1280x1024 resolution in HL2 for me is at 50FPS.

Jumping from 7000 to a 9800 pro is like switching from a Ford Mercury to a Dodge Viper. You will see A LOT of difference.
