SATA drive instilation

ok i ran the thing that u posted ag3 and when i try to install windows it says press f6 for the stuff, and i press f6, and nothing happens, after the normal stuff loads it asks me to choose the thing on the disc and i choose it, but then it loads that and says setup is starting windows, and just after the screen where it says press enter to install windoes it says that setup could not detect any hard drives on my system...???

Unplug all the drives from your system except the SATA drive you are trying to install. Then go about the setup as normal and see if it shows up.

Also make sure in your BIOS that the SATA/RAID controller is enabled. If it's not on, then it doesn't matter if you install drivers because the actual controller isn't enabled to detect any devices.

gah im dumb, didnt even think to look in the bios to do that, did what u said and all is fine now, thanks again
