a really briedf explanation would be socket 939 has more pins and transfers data faster than the 754. the 754 is already not supported so if you get one you are looking into a dead end street upgrading wise. the 939 is the best choice right now for just about anything.

Ive been around computers for 7+ years and have never had to the priviledge to buy EVERYTHING i absolutely wanted.

I suggest the ATI x800 over the Nvidia 6800gt. But if your rich try dual 6800gt's... now thats overkill
