Ok im building a new computer but dont want to spend a lot of money. I have somethings like the dvd burner 8X, case, HDD soon to be upgraded when i get the money and make sure its the right one.
ok So this is my mobo and processor:
MOBO:

CPU:

the processor i think is going to be overclocked if i dare.
do u think it is possible for computer tech to mess that up and frie some stuff or am ok??

for ram im going with this:
Mushkin:

ive got 15 cooling fans, and a CPU cooler
CPU Cooler:

for a video card i dont wanna skimp out on so im going to wait a while and use my older geforce fx5200 128DDR PCI no agp on my older hp.

is that all gonna be compatible?? if u could take a breif look to make sure everything is compatible. It is my first computer that i am building

and if u could send me a link with a good hdd compatible with the MOBO above i dont understand raid0/1 and all that

any help or suggestions are welcome thnx

K first Whats the reason u have this computer Gaming or Work?
Cos AMD kickes P4 ass at the gaming table and vicecersa at work.

Raid 0/1 well to use either raid u will need a couple of SATA hdd. When ur using Raid 0 ur computer writes and reads silultainiusly from both drives making it much faster. but when ur computer currupts one hdd u lose everything on both cos differant parts of files are on each. Raid 1 is a backup tool basically it means that everything u save is saved to both hdd not just 1. so in summery Raid 0 is a speed thing and raid 1 is a safty thing

also that CPU is the best over clocker except the AMD 64 939 3000+ and 3200+ (people have got 45% oc on air cooling)

I'd suggest a SATA 120GB or 160GB hard drive, they should cost around around bucks each. You haven't yet specified what you want done with this computer so it's hard to know whether you want speed or storage capability.

you will want an AMD if you will be gaming mostly with that system. go with something like the sempron 3100 like hbcao suggested, and a motherboard from Abit or perhaps Asus.

Why a sempron they are terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If ur not gonna get 64bit then get a barton core. A sempron 2800 is the exilivent of a celeron 2.8ghz while a barton (AMDXP) 2800 is the equilivent of 2.8ghz pentium. also a sempron 3100 is more expensive than a AMD 64 2800 and the 64 pwns the sempron any day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
