How come my Asus Probe 2 (the program that come with my motherboard which monitor the temperature) shows different temperature than my bios? Asus Probe 2 always shows 6-10 lower temperature than the bios. Why?
Some programs are just innacurate. I'd go with your BIOS though. In any case it's generally best to assume the temperature is a little higher and work to get it lower than it is to assume it's lower when in reality your CPU is frying
well the best answer I can give you is simply computers are fickle like that. Doesn't matter if you had the top programmer from microsoft custom design you a program it could still read innacurate.
Sometimes my temp monitor will read wrong temps and even wrong clock speed and upon closing it down and restarting it'll correct itself.
On my last motherboard the program showed around 6C higher than what my BIOS would say.
Just one of those lame annoying things that happen. Nothing really more to it
