CPU is at 102 celcius!!! Been like that for 5 months!

Hi,
I got a big problem here. I got an AMD Duron 850MHz with a TR2 M3 and it's heating at 102 celcius! It's not even overclocked! The fan runs at 4963 RPM (average). The CPU been like that for about 5 months! It's doesn't freeze up and it's boot correctly, it doesn't give me trouble!

It's soo weird, can someone help me with this one?

Edit: The guy who sell me the computer said that it was like that when he sold it for me... he said that it's normal and it's maybe the sensor, if it the sensor... how can I know the real temp?

what!!? 102 degrees celcius...thats could boil water! ur bios might be lying?

Maybe the sensor? Because MM5 says the same thing and the BIOS says that when I upgrade it

Check if ur heatsink is seated properly and get some arctic silver

Major wouldnt a CPU melt at that temp?

I think its not THAT hot. But it could die earlier.

Well this CPU is maybe like 2 years old and it's been like 5 months it's been in my PC
