I would say his Corsair is good. I think the best brands are OCZ, Corsair, Kingston in that order. I got a kingston value RAM and it's good but most reviews I've seen show OCZ and corsair as better. Also, of course it'd be nice if everyone could get a 10,000RPM but that's way too expensive considering he's getting an 80gb for $60 compared to $175 for a 75gb 10,000RPM so money is a factor here.I would also go with Kingston Dual Channel Ram. That Hard Drive is the type you need. I highly recommend getting 10000rpm SATA, but if you cant offered it its not a big deal.
I really suggest you go with the ABit AV8-3rd eye for that or the MSI neo2-platinum, both boards are good can't go wrong with either.
This is correct. You want to get an AGP 8x video card (well not like they make an AGP 4x X700 but you know what I mean ) Anywho..you definitely don't want to accidentally buy that PCI-Express cardThe mobo and vid-card are not compatible. (one is agp, other is pci-e.)
Everything else looks good
