do you think macs are more stable than even Windows XP?

Of course you can! But when you're like me, a converted Windows user who wants a PowerBook, the single button on the PowerBook can be a problem...sadly...
Oh, and I don't think Apple is all about simplicity anymore. I think they're about giving the user what he/she wants, whether it be simplicity or insane configurability.
I think the PowerBooks should have a two-button mouse option, and I also think that Apple should manufactor two-button mice.
What's the point of not having the second button? Pressing Ctrl every time you want to right click is really a hassle, and why put your second finger to waste?

it's like if you put too much pressure on an egg, it will break, or that you can't put two trains on the same stretch of track.

Answer: The PC, because it can't handle the pressure.
And yes, you do support a good point. However, the amount of software/devices/programs that you have, doesn't affect the way your computer runs unless you use all of them at once. Normally, you would only be using maybe three software titles at a time. Along with perhaps three devices, and four or five programs (this is a multitasker i'm describing) and having the 4000 s/d/p doesn't affect how your computer runs. It's how your computer runs them. And from what i've see, WinXP doesn't run them well. Where as the Mac OS, can handle all of it's s/d/p perfectly.

I can understand what you're saying Ã…nubis, PC specialists have the hardest time using Macs due to the fact that they are used to having to troubleshoot all of the time, and with a Mac, you don't have to. It could also be the fact that some people just don't want to learn the difference.
The Mac OS has always been more stable than any Microsoft OS ever manufactured. From The Mac OS, to Mac OS X System 10.3, Windows has always been somewhat, scattered, inexplainable, and sometimes Blue.
When my dad purchased an HP w/XP Home Edition from Wal Mart,(and I have nothing against HP or wal mart, they're both great and cheap), It took me almost three months to finally know where everything was on the HD. With my iMac, it took me less than a week. If I downloaded something on the HP, I never knew where it went. I always had to use Find File or "Explore" my system. With the Mac, if I downloaded something, it took me to the folder it loaded to when the download was complete.
The Mac OS is just simpler, easier, and less stressful than WinXP or any other Windows OS.
And if any of you gets the chance, you should most deffinitely use the Mac OS as much as possible. Expand you learning, and see the light. All at the same time.

one of the biggest advancements in Windows XP is that it's DOS free, making it a lot more stable and even though I've got XP on my computer now (updated from 98) it still does crash - believe me I have had XP crash on me many times, but not nearly as much as Win98
when i went to one of my friends houses - Oliver Curl, he doesn't know a lot about PC's - I had forgotten how much a 98 system crashes; it actually crashed 3 times within half an hour trying to install one of my freeware programs on his computer (BTW he has a 20 GIG drive)
