I use a Wireless Network USB adapter, as it was real cheap...anyhow, I have 8 USB ports...if I plug it into one, it loads the drivers and whatnot, and goes on it's dandy way. If I move it to another USB port, it loads its' drivers again, and names it #2, and so on for each other port. Where is it hiding the other unused ones? I want to have it just the original name, and delete the other useless ones.. I went to device manager>show hidden devices, but none show up still besides the one that is being used.

thanks:)

Well, the computer is generally off...when I move it, otherwise...sometimes it is, sometimes not...but no matter with that really.

Nope, under 'Network Adapters' it only shows the active port with it...I know it has got to be hiding the others somewhere, just can't figure it out...yet!

Any other ideas?

thanks,

Do you know where under x-setup? I downloaded it, but I don't see that option anywhere (checked the help file-found nothing, and dumbly enough? didn't see it under any of the options.)

thanks!
