A: Certain brands (i.e. Kingston) have a lifetime warranty. You basically can't go wrong.

B:Kingston they inspect all machine welds by hand, fix the messed up welds by hand, test each stick in an actual computer... You really can't go wrong. I'm sure other companies have just as good quality control, but I've seen the Kingston factory in action.

Corsair is good, Kingston is pretty reliable in most set-ups, OCZ seems to be good, it gets good reviews online, or thats what I have found....

OCZ makes some of the best ram for overclocking... I have never had trouble with my crucial value ram either though.
