Watching Carnival Row, and it's not bad, but it feels kind of like it's going for the Penny Dreadful vibe, but with a focus more on racial tensions than interpersonal struggles. There's also an allusion to a Lovecraft-type monster, so we'll see how that turns out! I also watched the first ep or two of The Black Spot, an English-dubbed French-Canadian show about a dark conspiracy in a weird wilderness town. Again, not really bad, but it didn't really hook me. i would encourage you to check them both out to see if they're your jam or not; they're definitely pleasing from an aesthetic and atmospheric standpoint.
