I'd like to buy a scanner.I'll choose from Epson Perfection 2480 Photo and Microtek ScanMaker 4850.Epson has a Color CCD line sensor with Micro Lens, 61200 pixels (10200 x 2 Line x 3 colors) and the Microtek Sigma Six CCD, 64080 Sensor Cells.Which one is better? Is there a big difference between them?Does this mean that Epson has only one CCD sensor and Microtek has 6 CCD sensors?
Thank u in advance.

what are you using them for? if it's home use, then i think you'll be happy with both.
i'll edit this post when i've checked them out in more detail

close call, but i would go with the EPSON. The Microtek is smaller slimmer, EPSON may be more reliable... they have had a long standing reputation for quality products when it comes to imaging and printing...
the EPSON seems to be more centered around photo / slides / transparency. Great products both of them, scanners have come a long way. hope this helps.
