So I just got a ROG Swift PG279Q Monitor as a present. I started noticing I had to dial the settings down so my GTX 1060 6GB could at least achieve 60 fps. My question is it worth going to Best Buy and picking up this MSI RTX 2080 Trio or am I better off getting a 1080 ti off eBay (or if anyone has a suggested site where I can get one for a fair price)?
Next I'm looking to upgrade my RAM for my X370 Killer SLI motherboard but the thing is I never upgraded the bios. Pretty much scared myself silly after reading Reddit threads on the bios updates for the board and how they were having issues. So I thought if it's not broken why fix it. I'm not planning to OC anything just something I can sustain gaming and video editing with. I currently have 8GB (2x4) 2400. I'm looking to upgrade to 16GB. Any suggestions for a not so expensive model? Aesthetically pleasing would be nice too.
