what type of cyber security protocols exist within your company? (e.g. technological protocols, education and training)

Is cyber security left solely to the IT department?

You hope your windows computer works. You have no admin access. Hopefully the admin department has a sophisticated password. Also only 2 users on the work computer. The admin one and the person using it. Having more than two users is dangerous. Especially if the the two non-admin users have easy passwords. The hacker can escalate privileges. Also, on the firewall block all outbound connections except the ones that are absolutely needed.

thank you for your response. Is this based on your personal experience?

I think router and firewall and network setup is more often overlooked by offices and intruders first penetration entrance to your data.

Most places I set up their IT use a middlebox that acts as a firewall or middleman. The firewall rules are set to detect port scanning and suspicious activity and then ban the ip range it came from, everyone else gets through.
