Here's a little bit of annoyance I can't get rid of.

Anytime I unplug my network cable from my PC, or reset my router, I get a small icon in the taskbar saying "Acquiring Network Address" however I can connect to the internet just fine.

I have read this problem happening with Wireless cards, however mine is NOT a wireless card.

any thoughts?

how do you connect when you unplug the cable without wireless? anyways, doesn't the icon go away in like five seconds anyways? whenever my router gets unplugged or we lose internet, it says something like "lan area connection unplugged" but it goes away on it's own in a few seconds, so it really doesn't bother me.

Well, when my cable is unplugged, of course I do not have a connection to the net.

Thats not my problem. My problem is the annoying icon in the system Tray that stays there telling me its trying to acquire the network when i AM connected.

Anyone else having this issue?
