Should I Upgrade or...?

Hi,

I've been looking into if spending money to upgrade components of my rig is worth it and can't seem to find the facts I need to make a decision. Can anyone in the know let me know if I'm being bottle-necked and need various upgrades? I think the rig may be OK from what I'm seeing online?

CPU: i7 4770k 4.5 GHz (Haswell)
MOBO: ASRock Z87 extreme6
RAM: DDR3 2x8 GB 9-9-9-24
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 TI
PS: 750 Watt
HDD: Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD & RAID 0 WDD Storage

On the1M test in SuperPI Mod 1.5xs I score 08.051s.

Can I ask another in this thread? Is getting an x4 NVMe m.2 drive worth it as the 1080 ti lanes would reduce from x16 to x8?

You already have an SSD so I'd say probably not. It wouldn't hurt dropping to 8x on the card but you won't see much of a difference real world going to NVMe. Your board also does not natively support NVMe.

If you're interested in my opinion, your rig for games is more than enough. You can add just one more hard disk for storage.

Your system is almost the same as mine except better GPU and and the I5 varient of your I7 and I've had no issues on gaming, I'm building new so my soon to be step son can get this one for gaming.
