Get a reputable brand for an AIO water cooler like Corsair or an Enermax. Make sure it's a newer model for proper TR4 support.

That G1 power supply is an old model, get at least the G3.

If you're that serious into video editing you want an NVMe drive for a really fast scratch disk like a 970 EVO. That HDD you linked is also an older model enterprise drive. Swap it out for a newer model Barracuda.

You don't have a GPU listed.

Take note that more cores isn't always the answer when dealing with editing video; it also depends entirely on the software and codec used as well.

Exactly the answer I was looking for in terms of build.

I am also in a crisis analysis. The question is should I go with the 9700k core i7 with a 1080 graphics card for gaming build or a work station desktop as i listed.

I know ultimately it's my decision but I still help but ponder whether I need a gaming or workstation pc. In the workstation, I see it more as a hobby into a profession type.

For the gaming, I see it as a pleasure and it would be nice to game after a long days work.

Do you have any advice ? I don't even have a 4k camera or 4k material so I won't really need the 1950x and I think the 9700k would be better since even that chip can do video editing work. it's not yet out so I don't know the price but around $400 is the word on the street.

MSRP should be closer to 375, retail probably 425ish.

If this isn't for work to where you're making money off of it I would just get the 9900k and call it a day. I edit and output 4k content with a 7800x just fine. Your GPU will matter more when it comes to scrubbing and effects, The TR build would still game fine if you have a 1440p monitor but in all honesty the 9900k will still rip video production easily too.
 
FWIW we found great benefits going from 32GB to 64GB ram for our video edit guys, especially if you have an appropriate cpu paired with it.

For what workload though? It'd only be that beneficial with 4K or 8K workloads and wanting all scratch on RAM rather than SSD. I noticed timeline scrubbing was sped up by adding an extra 16GB of RAM but I was also dealing with 4k 130Mb files though.
 
We don't even use 4k yet tbh, there's a dedicated nvme scratch disk but AE and Prem Pro still <3 pairing a ****eton of ram with cores for renders. I initially spec'd the first replacement PC up with 32GB, but with AE and PS open along with a few tabs in chome or what have you it quickly got eaten.
Tbf if they shut down all other programs and only had AE open it wasn't too bad, but they can't work like that.

How many cores? Eh either way I guess it's still highly dependent on workload. I haven't had any real major increases in performance by adding RAM or cores in any linear scale with my own workloads and I've tried my machine with 32 threads.
