I'm a total noob with technology but I'm studying accounting and have to do some research on the technology that is used by cloud accounting companies like Xero and Wave.
Does anyone know what the tech is called that scans receipts and invoices and automatically puts their details into the program?
For example, I take a photo of a receipt and upload it to Wave and it will automatically input the Business Name, Date, Amount and Payment Type. Does anyone know how it does this?
