Best speakers for $50 bucks or less?

I have some crappy old Dell hand-me-down speakers on my comp right now, but the sound quality is painful to hear. I was thinking possibly 2 speakers and a subwoofer, however I have no idea what's good and what is not. Here is what the ASUS website says about the onboard sound for my motherboard:

"The A7N8X uses an onboard Realtek® ALC650 audio CODEC that lets you enjoy high-quality 6-channel audio without having to buy advanced sound cards."

What speakers do y'all think would be best for my setup? Thank you in advance.

These are awsome little desktop speakers with incredible sound quality and performance, for under $50. There's an OEM version too that's only $35.

ShoobieRat, you're than man Those look pretty sweet, and the reviews are really good too. What does the retail version come with that the OEM doesn't? Some software or something?

I have some 2.1 Cyber Acoustics 3080 speakers that are awesome. Bought at staples.

2.1 Logitech Z-3's are niiiiiiice, I have a set and couldn't be happier. here's the link and ouch! they went up in price to 59 bucks. I still reccomend them though.

Dude, those Z-3's look nice, and I was really considering buying them, and then I saw newegg's $13.99 shipping price. And they call it "Saver Shipping"...hahaha.

yeah, newegg's shipping gets ya. everyone says that neweggs shipping is so cheap, i had those speakers 2nd dayed to my house and whoo boy that was a lot of money!
