Hello,

My friend is looking to ditch his HAF932 for something smaller. He's considering just getting a mid-tower, but I showed him the Fractal Design Node 202 and he really likes the idea of an ITX build. The 4770K is still a great CPU so he'd like to stick with that instead of switching to Kaby or Sky Lake. So He'd need:

  1. Case
  2. Heat Sink
  3. Power Supply (Is the 450w that comes with the case enough?)
  4. Storage (SSD already purchased, he'd need another 2.5" HDD)
  5. ITX Motherboard
  6. i7 4770K (purchased)
  7. GTX 1080ti (purchased)

Does anyone have any recommendations for the motherboard? I know ITX has come a long way since socket 1150 so I'm not really sure what a good one would be.

Thanks,

-Richard

You're looking at seriously overpaying for a Haswell board these days that's decent, and Newegg has very slim pickings for 1150 boards.

Not even Z97, they want 159 for it.

This seller wants a whopping 250 bucks for this ASRock board.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help, that's what I was worried about. It may be better for him to sell his stuff and get a 7700K with a newer ITX board that also has M.2.
