So I tried to replace a macbook a1342 lcd because the previous screen has crack.
When the new lcd arrived, I then realized the lcd was made by a different manufacturer but for the same laptop model. The connector is slightly different but I plugged it in anyway.
I turned the laptop on and the start up chime can be heard but does not display anything at all. I turned it off and I removed the new lcd and connected the old cracked lcd and its the same problem. No display but there is the start up chime sound.
What may have caused this? Is it the connector? Or the logic board? How do I troubleshoot this problem
