Yea I read earlier today actually, we're looking for an actual performance increase in the newer drivers which would be sweet. I'll upgrade regardless probably but, if it makes the card work better, then w00t =) thanks for the reply though dude

I noticed a constant 10 fps improvement in HL2 but for some it might only be 1-5 fps.

But there seems to be a bug with the 4.12 about texture optimization but you have to REALLY look to notice it.

Some people find the 4.11s better though...it really depends on what games you play and etc. You should read the release notes as it documents all the driver optimizations.

4.12 is touted as the HL2 driver same as 4.9 was touted as the Doom 3 driver.

4.12b is the beta if you didn't know on that chart.
