Hi, I am new to the site, so if I am doing something wrong please don't hesitate to tell me how things usually work. Well anyhow, on to my question, I am just wondering how to screen share my samsung tab4 to my non-smart TV, I have tried a couple options such as using a mhl to hdmi adapter only to realize the tab 4 was the first to stop featuring MHL support. I am aware that the tab4 also has wifi-direct, though I am not sure of how to utilize it on my TV. The purpose is to display an app on the big screen, Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I thought of that also I just wasn't aware that it was capable with wifi-direct support for the tab4... there must be a device that receives the WD (wifi direct) request and fits into a standard HDMI port on my TV, allowing me to screen mirror just as a HDMI to HDMI connection.
