Need clarification that my motherboard is dying.

Honestly everything looks/sounds fine though that does seem a bit toasty for that CPU if I am not mistaken.

Let prime run over night or as long as humanly possible to check the systems stability.
 
I was running Prime95 with the stock Intel cooler, probably stupid of me so when I get around to swapping to the NH-D14 I'll give Prime 95 another go.

Sort of pleased it's still a working machine but will always be cautious of it probably breaking again at some point.

On a side note I was having difficulty getting Windows to install onto the 256 SSD (error code 0x8007045D), turned out to be the data cable which worked with a HDD but not the SSD. Used another data cable and installed fine ... weird.

For future reference... Some things in a computer will just plain get hot... SATA cables go bad more often than not, and shorting cables out can break many things. >.>
