Hello everyone, I am upgrading my PC and purchased this motherboard:
ASUS Dual DDR4 3400 Intel LGA1151 SATA (6Gb/s) Motherboard (Z170 PRO Gaming)

And this video card:
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Super Clocked Gaming ACX 2.0 6GB GDDR5 384bit PCI-E Graphic Card (06G-P4-4995-KR)

I already have the power supply, monitor, etc etc, I just need help picking out the RAM and CPU. Could you suggest a high-end CPU, cooler, and RAM? I would like to keep it within around 500 dollar budget for all 3. I was considering a intel i7 920, but I am a noob when it comes to tech hardware and would refer to suggestions. Thanks in advance!

i7 920 is 6 years old buddy and won't even fit in that board.

i5 6600k, Hyper 212 EVO, 2x8GB 2133-2400 DDR4 any brand whatever is cheap.

Also hop you didn't pay 600 bucks for that 980ti with the 1070 and 1080 out.

Thank you Mguire!

The video card / motherboard were bought by a friend and obtained through a trade. So it's what I'm stuck with, but will suit my needs :)

Thanks for steering me right, I'll pick those up and add them to my build!

Well as long as you weren't gipped then that's ok. The 980ti is still a really good card, just for the money the 1070 trumps it new vs new.

If you have more money for a cooler an H80i GT wouldn't be a bad idea.
