How long is 939S going to last?

I am getting a new computer in a week and I am just wondering how long the 939S is going to be around for? Any sort of info on this would be much appreciated. thnx

Well quite some time I believe, AMD is coming out with dual core 64 bit cpu's here in about a year and they will be 939 pin as well. They will use the same mobo as the AMD 64's do now.

Yes, I wish I would have went 939...then I could just up my processor later on instead of getting a whole new mobo. 939 will take AMD into the PCI-express era.

Until AMD get bored with it and change things again!!!

Actaully, at this stage, it looks like 939 is going to be here to stay.


I am still kicking myself about selling my EX-GF a 757 only to have 1 week lever the Athlon 3200 939 finally became avalable.
