For a lot of people it's not just performance... It's power efficiency. I can't wait to see how much power these cards draw and what performance they give per watt compared to older cards... I may very well go from a 750Ti on my personal machine to a 1070.

160-170W on 1080 like the 980. Both cards have a single 8pin.

I'm getting 1070s to replace the Titans for a much lower wattage single 8pin solution until Pascal. What does that tell you

That was supposed to say big Pascal. I posted that at like 6am or something. In other words selling one card to get 2 cards that suck half the wattage for the same or more power. It reduces my custom cable cost and reduces heat in my room. The games I'm playing right now don't require much more than that.
