How to overclock

I am new to overclocking but need to speed up my system.
I just need detailed instructions on how to do it, or how to use any software that might be suggested for overclocking?

Don't want to be that guy, but if you need detailed instructions then you don't know enough about overclocking to be doing it. There isn't one set process as every system is different.
